Hi,after the build up and self generated hype some eyes were on 48 last week as the sceptics watched for signs of a meltdown!I was pleased to emerge each morning on time under semi control with a pleasant “move on people there is nothing to see here” as we kept the Jones mobile firmly on the track!

Fletcher reckons;things werent that difficult to organise as long as he made sure Dad understood and stuck to the daily program.Things got a little tense over the TV however as PJ Masks trumps the footy so get usesd to it bud.Hmmmm back to work for a well earned rest I reckon.

For me it was a vivd reminder of how important the family unit working together is and how noticeable it is when one cog is missing!To all the parents,grand parents, and care givers out there I salute you yet again!!

As a former coach of many teams over the years I always feel for coaches when their teams are not performing.I was particularly pleased therefore to see the Warriors finally drop their consistent underpeformers.This created opportunities for keen young players to step up which I am pleased to say they grabbed!!Hopefully this is the start of a new era for the club and their long suffering yet loyal fan base.Some lessons here for all I reckon….perform or perish!!

Have a great week ahead and remember…..family first regardless!!.........Cheers Jonesey

Harry and the Hendersons reckon they had their survival doubts and were surprised when they were fed,watered and even walked daily….who would have thought?

Some follow up Sizzle snippets tieing up loose ends from previous issues;

  • Going the extra mile last week had added benefits for me when during a waste audit for a customer I was able to rescue several items from the wastestream that will be reused (after repair and mods) at our house. The project Manager at 48 however has asked for completion dates to be committred to for the revival projects…..(hate it when that happens!). It is fair to say the latest ‘treasure will join the growing line of future ‘projects’ in the ‘shed’ J
  • The audit will repair and strenthen an existing relationship whilst securing an extra large new site with the same customer…..YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!Huge thanks to the audit team from Reclaim!!
  • I was reminded about the importance of following up on sales leads with urgency and what happens when you do and don’t…….DO; I signed two new customers by responding within an hour and staying on the case relentlessly. DON’T; I lost a big fish because after initially responding pronto I didn’t on a second query quick enough when they were on the hook but not quite and they got off the hook…….yes the big one that did get away…bugger!!!
  • I was honoured to be approached recently with a huge opportunity and whilst it was flattering and attractive I decided it wasn’t for me.There are benefits to getting older and hindsight is definitely one of them as I was able to apply my learnings from the past to let sanity prevail!
  • After raising the issues I have regarding rudeness from colleagues and associates I have decided to address it directly. I am too old and ugly to continue to accept that arrogance is ok. Thank you for providing me with the confidence to address this head on !!
  • I have made a few annoying mistakes in 2016 already and we are only one third through!I am determined to learn from these and to be a better employee,mentor,husband, father, brother and son as a result of it….its not the mistakes but what you learn and do as a result!!

Thanks for your continued feedback and support, I appreciate it greatly…..Cheers Jonesey
