Hi,WOW….Happy Birthday Auckland….here are 3 days of Summer to help you celebrate!!

Yes the weather Gods smiled on the ‘City of Sails’ and throughout the City we BBQ’d, boogied and basked in the sun whilst toasting all that is good about our ‘Hood’.

I couldn’t help but feel pretty happy as we all tucked into our favourite Tip Top flavours after a hard out surf session whilst sitting under a coastal shade canopy of Pohutukawa and Puka. Then in a blast from the past we listened to the cricket on a small transistor while chilling around 48.Life doesn’t get any better,we are so lucky to live where we do in this amazing country, happy, healthy and free.

Fletcher reckons; Auckland should have organised a massive kids birthday party with cake and lollies to take home in Goody bags! He is also firmly convinced after watching Toy Story 1,2and 3 that his toys also come alive when he is not there or asleep. So to assist the process he arranges them together each day before leaving the house and each evening before going to bed!!......crikey imagine the fun they must all have….(did I say that J!!??).

Thanks for your kind feedback about Harry Jones last week,we appreciated your support.

If you were lucky enough to have a long weekend I hope it was a relaxing one.If you had a normal Monday then don’t worry your turn is less than a week away….enjoy!!

Have an awesome week ahead………Cheers Jonesey!

The Hendersons reckon they talk to Fletchers toys all the time especially Izzey!!

First week back at work and it was a cracker!

Plenty going on as promised by the strong economic forecasts for 2017.

Strong immigration and tourism numbers fueling commercial and residential building demand will make us busy Green Gorilla’s this year.

Low unemployment and interest rates will also ensure plenty of consumer confidence.

So the focus has to be on how to take the most profitable advantage of the situation.

This doesn’t mean ripping people off, moreover, making sure that you get a fair return for the effort or capital investment made.

Adding new customers/businesses is great however existing customers are also experiencing growth during these positive times and focusing/understanding their needs is equally as important/profitable.

In a good example of this I was able to go the extra mile for two of my customers last week.

This allowed me to do something extraordinary and unexpected which resulted in positive feedback and valuable information about their growth plans for the new year.

It was an early reminder for me that will ensure a balanced approach to my prospecting.

I have always enjoyed going the extra mile for my customers something I never charge for yet always get repaid tenfold for in return……my recommendation and formula for 2017!!

Harry Jones 2003-2017

Hi,welcome to ‘Upbeat 2017’,I hope the year is already off to a rip roaring start for you all!

We had an awesome long lazy break enjoying #48 in holiday mode and even swapping West with East coast for a stint ‘overseas’ on Waiheke Island. We know we are lucky to have the best of both worlds available to us, so made sure to make the most of it to totally relax.

A friend of mine used to take his gym away on holiday,we thought that was a bit extreme but do admit to succuming to our coffee addiction by taking our Nespresso machine haha!!!

True best friends are hard to come by.These are the ones that are there for you unconditionally, always happy to see you and never judge you no matter how grumpy!!

True best friends leave a huge void when they are no longer there which is something we found out during the break when we lost our dearly loved best friend Harry Jones. At 14 dog and 98 equivalent human years Harry was no spring chicken but we kind of hoped he would last forever.Harry ‘owned’ Muriwai Beach,it was his happy place so it was poetic that he passed away peacefully on our last walk together as quiet as you please on the black sand!

Fletcher reckons; Harry was a legend and an awesome live soft cuddly friend .He is especially greatful to the H dog for the driving lesson in Mums car (see attached).

Also,Santa delivered,a first fish was landed and East/West coast waves were boogied J.

A special treat was meeting Waiheke kids book author Mark Sommerset who wrote a personal message and autographed his latest book for Fletcher.

Always exciting to crack into a new year, time to ‘get your froth on’………Cheers Jonesey!

The Hendersons reckon Harry Jones was their best and most Scoobydoo friend too!

Holidays are a time I like to reflect on where I am at and where I think I would like to go.
Over my recent break I have had several good new business ideas (self and company).
These have been generated from reading the daily paper, magazines and books mostly.
The major thing I have taken from this and touched on previously is that I should be making time to read and reflect during the year as well.
This is something that needs to be worked into the normal business week/weekend.
So as a goal for the new year I am going to do just that as well as working hard to develop the ideas I have had into new ongoing revenue producers.
It is all very well having ideas, we can all do that but it is then turning those ideas into plans and action that takes commitment and energy.
So for starters in memory and tribute to Harry Jones we are planning to write a kids book featuring our dearly departed Lab/Newfy X.
Meeting childrens author Mark on Waiheke was the catalyst to hatch our furry plan and we cant wait to put together the script and the illustrations to make this dream a reality.
‘They’ say there is a book (or maybe a series?) in all of us, who knows till you have a crack?
We have also decided that no matter what happens this is our year so we are going for it!!
I hope you are equally as enthused and strongly encourage you all to follow your dreams!!
