Hi,man
flu is an intriquing thing. Those with it say it is equal to if not worse than
the pain and discomfort associated with child birth. Those without it play it
down as some lesser strength ailment which that bloke Clayton became notorious
for with his make believe attacks of this or that!!
That
said, my current bout is up there with the most authentic but its ok, I am
battling boldly on!!
Fletcher reckons school holidays are exciting but nothing replaces the ‘high
noon’ drama, excitement, agony and ecstasy of a World Cup football penalty
shootout!
Something funny….about hanging on in the mornings to check out the live
football World Cup action is while you may be fostering your childs love for
the game on one hand you are also making them very late for school on the other,I
figure once every four years should be ok?(that’s what I told FJJ to say to his
teacher anyway!!).
As
mentioned school hols are upon us and all parents of school age kids swing into
organise/delegate mode.Like meany others we have taken the opportunity to
invest heavily in our sons future enrolling him for basketball and soccer
camps. Not only are these two of the highest paid professional sports codes it
should and will mean endless hours of tiring fun for our 5 going on 15 yr old.
I
hope you are organised and delegated out enough to have another ‘Upbeat’ week,Cheers
Jonesey.
Kate and Lily reckon they are the perfect foils for each
others antics! (see pic).

What a tiring week..a door to door campaign in South
Auckland (28,000 steps for the day!!).
Two days on a Trade show stand talking rubbish non
stop!! (hard work you know!!)
A trade show function going late drinking and talking
more rubbish (in short hand).
Plus the normal weekly suspects, new and existing
customers to thrill with our service.
All that mind you with a bout of the man flu ravaging
my defenseless elite(senior) athlete frame.
Against the odds I made it and even managed to make
some headway on a number of projects!
The human body is an amazing thing, you program in the
coordinates and away she goes.
Nothing is impossible if we put our mind to it
positively enough.
Speaking of which I was pleasantly surprised by a
highly positive finish to this busy week.
I was on a mission out West which I have to say is not
my ‘happy sales place’ normally.
The reaction and response I received to two major cold
calls on potential customers was heartening.
I wouldn’t go as far to say I was welcomed with open
arms but it was a better than normal.
Some refer to banjo’s,home detention devices and
firearms when talking about the area with good historical cause however it is
important to stay focused on the desired end outcome!
I believe in not taking too much notice of this and
reckon this had a bit to do with my success.
That combined with the motivation of a busy and
positive week gave me a different aura.
This proves we need to be planned, prepared and
motivated when we head out to engage with others.
‘They’ do say after all that how we come across to
others is 58% body language,32% tone of voice and therefore only 10% the words
we actually say!! So we need to be pumped ready to perform!
If I can head into the Wild West and receive a positive
response then anyone can too……..believe.
In a footnote after a tough week it is important to
take some time out
We were lucky enough to get invited out for a day
fishing on Saturday…..so peaceful and restful.
Afterall ‘they’ also say the worst day out fishing is
always better than the best day working!!!
“That
which does not kill us makes us stronger.”
