Edition 375 Tuesday 18/04/17
Hi,I hope you had a happy Easter, how do you do nothing for
four days?....quite simple it seems because we just did and it was extremely
easy!We had all the best intentions in the world with plenty of tasks but never
got there and I am so glad we didn’t.I guess its times like this that you
realise just how tiring your normal schedule is and how much you need to have
time out Crikey I have never ‘nana’ napped so much or felt so happy to do
nothing so must have needed to….yes I did say and mean that!!!
We tagged teamed the naps and took turns entertaining our
chocolate charged son.Yes the Easter bunny delivered big time but wondered why
at times as we worked hard to neutralise the sugar rush with numerous
activities designed to burn energy. For us it was all made worthwhile watching our
son happily gifted a large % of his Easter bounty to others deciding that for
him giving is just as good as receiving(From his Mums side she reckons of
course)J.
Fletcher
reckons he knew the Easter Bunny would deliver after scoring plenty
of good boy points in the weeks leading up to the event.Life is simple
sometimes Good =Gooder stuff!
Something
funny about our second visit from Daycare Parakeets Barney and
Rocko for the Easter weekend was Dad caught on more than one occasion chatting
away to both!!This prompted Fletcher to officially announce that Barney liked
Daddy but Rocko still wasn’t sure.
Just ever so quietly there is something warm and homely about
having birds chirping away in the household background….yes I did say and mean
that J.
Have a good second short week of three oh yeah!!…………………Cheers

The thing about being ‘Upbeat’ is it doesn’t happen
automatically you need a trigger!
That can come from us religously making the decision daily to
be positive.
It can also come from those we choose to spend time with or
do business with.
For example if you start your day talking to or meeting with
positive people you will be uplifted and carry that forward into your day.
I try to make sure my first appointment every day is one I
know has a high chance of resulting in a positive outcome. That allows me to
build confidence before approaching more difficult tasks later in the day…we all
know how hard it is the other way around.
So we agree creating a positive mood is essential to having
an ‘Upbeat’ day.
I was reminded of this again last week after attending my
fortnightly Toastmasters meeting.
I never fail to leave those meetings totally uplifted after
being inspired by like minded individuals committed to being better
communicators, listeners and leaders.
I wish I could attend a Toastmasters meeting everyday of the
week because of the bullet proof confidence I always leave a meeting with.So
how do we recreate this feeling daily?
I reckon we take this lead and surround ourselves with
positive people who we can network and meet with regularly. This could be in the
form of industry groups or assembled from hand picked friends, maybe even
customers or business associates, anyone you know who you respect, admire or get
a positive vibe from…..make the effort, you wont regret it!!
Dare I say it you could join a Toastmasters club but then you
already knew that aye J!!

is going after Moby Dick and taking the tartare sauce with you”.
