Hi,super king size beds are handy for many things and Guy
Fawkes is definitelly one of them!
Three large spooked dogs, one large spooked three year plus
the normal occupants all huddled together while world war three unfolds outside
celebrating some historical dodgy pyromaniac!
My greatest fear was our resident ‘on high alert’ fire fighter would be called out and I would
be left alone with the rest of the family in the bed freaking out!!
Yes I liked Guy Fawkes as a kid but more than a few decades
down the track I have become a willing advocate of banning the sale of
fireworks in favour of public displays.I firmly believe this to be in the best
interests of everyones safety, sanity and restful sleep both human and animal!
Fletcher
says; summer rules especially roadside ‘real strawberry’ icecream
stalls…..yum!
We made the time to visit one of our favourite local places
in the world, beautiful Matua Vineyard estate.Disappointingly the owner of this
amazing spot is selling and moving production to Marlborough. This spot is one
of our best kept secret places and we will miss it. Amazingly we have the
bottom field to ourselves most weekends. The best things and experiences are
often the least expensive and closest to home!!(see attached)I hope you have
been spending time with your favourite people in your favourite places too.
Have a great week ahead.......Cheers
Jonesey!!!
Harry and the Hendersons reckon given their advancing dog
years they should be allowed in the ‘super’ bed every night…….yeah right!

I had a ‘that’s it’
moment last week with our bank and let them know!
We have been trying
to negotiate a restructured mortgage deal with the BNZ via a broker.
Our broker (Tim
Hurley from Hurley Financial Services) was referred to us and he has been
amazing!
The same
unfortunately cannot be said of the BNZ who have been nothing short of
unbelievable!
We have been
customers for over twelve years during which time we have paid copious
interest!
We have never
missed a payment or been anything but a model customer.
All that appeared
to count for nothing as they have fluffed around for over seven weeks!
We have been
treated like a new customer with no previous history in a rude and arrogant
manner!
Externally their
advertising is convincing and caring however internally this does not exist!
At no stage of our
recent experience have we felt our business was important to them.
Tim Hurley is an
experienced broker who has been astounded by their lack of performance!
So,enough was
enough and after having had a gutsful I decided it was time to make a stand!
I wrote a letter to
them outlining our experience and our disgust
at their total lack of service.
I included my
feelings about their arrogance, complacency and lack of empathy for customers!
Their announcement
of a record profit recently further motivated me not to hold back!
Large Corporates
need to take notice of their smaller customers because we and and all do count.
Ignore these
messages at your peril I say….just look at Taranaki Savings and Kiwibank
growth!
The problem is not
enough of us let these guys know exactly how we feel or vote with our feet!
I encourage you all
to complain more about treatment from companies who should be better!
My complaint made
me feel a bit better and motivated our bank to promptly apologise.
We also got a
better deal as it turns out which was backdated and embellished with care.
It pays to speak up
when you get poor service, its not good enough so up to you to say so!
Also a good wake up
call for those of us selling a service…….listen and be on your game!!

profits they will be embarrassingly large.”Henry
Ford
