Hi, wow what a
week in Queenstown holiday mode(is there any other in this amazing
place?).Blessed with stunning weather for the duration of our stay and some
equally spectacular breathtaking scenery we thanked our lucky stars and Scenic
Hotels for the opportunity. For someone who suffers from more
than a mild dose of vertigo this adventure tourism mecca had me out of my comfort zone on numerous occasions but it was totally worth it.As good as our holiday has been it didn't come close to the sublime performance of our record breaking back to back world rugby champion All Blacks as they convincingly beat the Aussies! (what a game).
Australia were worthy finalists however they were no match for the men in black.
New Zealand is 'Upbeat' thanks yet again to our national team delivering the goods.....life in the land of the long white cloud doesn't get any better....soak it up my fellow Kiwis!!!

says; Queenstown is
the best place in the world, lots of firsts featuring, planes, choppers, luges, gondolas
and chairlifts (spot the common theme Vertigo sufferers!).
I have been reminded again how important having a break is and why making the time for it is essential! I am not good at switching off however taking time out with my family is far more important than work will ever be and I am lucky to have special people in my life to do that with regularly.
Life is about family and I am already making plans for the next holiday with mine soon!!!!
I hope you are doing the same.......Cheers Jonesey!!!

be a winner!!

away have a little relaxation for when you come back to your work your
judgement will be surer.” Leonardo Da Vinci
Following on the holiday theme above
there is an important additional work related spinoff!
To those like me that this may not have been obvious to in the past it is now!
We all work harder and longer these days and whilst we condition ourselves to it there are things we can't do a lot about.
Mental fatigue and stress are silent killers that stalk us all and can strike when we least expect it.
Two important ways we can counter this are to firstly keep physically fit and secondly to take regular time out to recharge our energy levels both physical and mental.
You are doing no one any favours if you don't plan regular leave to ensure your body and mind have relaxation and recovery time.
Anyone who doesn't do this is running the gauntlet in my view,I know because I was one of them before a few timely wake up calls....I was lucky, others are not so!!
As a Coach I also try to make sure my team take regular leave as they are no good to me,themselves or their families if they don't!
Do me,yourselves and the people most important to you a favour and book some leave now!!!!
